Attaching The Motor

Today I have the task of plotting the mounting holes for the motor onto the acrylic x-axis uprights. I don’t want to use the motor mounts that I have as I can attach the motors directly into the material via the front face bolt holes. I plan to use the mounts as a template and a combination of two set squares, a number of clamps and a small pilot hole just large enough to push the motor spindle through to keep everything square to I can transfer the holes. This worked a treat and after I widened the hole to accommodate the motor coupler I had a virtually complete X axis. Adding a bearing to the other support completed the to do list for today.
