Tunning the Stepper Motor Drivers

Issue solved I hooked up the Arduino with the CNC v3 board attached the motors and used the 12v voltage from my home made lab bench top power supply. I began my first task; checking that I was supplying the correct voltage across the three stepper drivers (simple instructions for doing this can be found here) . I adjusted the variable resistors accordingly and wired up the motors to the board and fired up the controller software. The results were promising but I was hearing a grating sound coming from the X-axis. This was audible for half a revolution of the motor then disappeared for the rest. It sounded like the worm screw of the couplet was catching on the inside of the support which it passed through. After looking closely at all the moving parts I found that I had a serious wobble on the x-axis lead-screw.
