On your marks!

I made the initial start, taking the first major step from planning to doing. I started with something very simple; laying out and marking the foot print of the y-axis on the base, an old bedroom sideboard door that I have been keeping for over 10 years. It’s the perfect width to accommodate the x-axis bars and lead-screw. It’s a little long for the y-axis travel, I can cut this down or better still use this space to integrate the computer, screen and all the electrics and electronics. This will keep the brains of the machine further away from the dusty cutting area.
