The 3.5 was later followed by a 5 meter NPW. The aim was to make a kite that could be taken anywhere, flown on short lines and was virtually indestructible. The result was exactly that. The first flight of the kite was in a disused mining land. The kite was bounced off every single rock on the site due to the lack of wind and letting my friend have his first go and it survived well.
Later the kite was test flown on more open site to test the traction abilities, again it worked well and game me plenty of traction on a landboard in the gusty conditions.
